INTRODUCTION

Pisco 5752mts is one of the mountains more visited by the tourists, who come to make their summit like acclimatization to raise the greatest mountains of Peru, After Pisco, Our following summit will be the mountain Alpamayo 5947mt, of high trajectory in the cordillera blanca.

ITINERARY

Day 01: Lima: Welcome at the Airport and Transfer to Hotel Lima

Day 02: Travel to Huaraz (3100m) by bus takes 8 hours. Hotel Huaraz

Day 03: Huaraz. Acclimatization day hikes Laguna Churup (4450mt)
By bus Pitec at 3,950m, and Hike Lake at 4,450m, and return to Huaraz.

Day 04: Huaraz / Transfer to Llanganuco / Trekking to Pisco Base Camp (4300mt) Camp
We head out past the beautiful Llanganuco lakes and on to the trailhead where we load our donkeys and ascend to the Pisco Base Camp.

Day 05: Pisco Base Camp / Ascend to Pisco Moraine Camp (4765mt) Camp
Climb from Cave to Moraine Camp (4765mt).This climb crosses a challenging rock glacier before climbing steeply into camp in a small sandy basin just below the toe of the glacier.

Day 06: Moraine Camp / Ascend to Pisco Summit (5750mt) / Descend to Base Camp (4300mt) Camp
Summit day! Wake at 3:00am and after a light breakfast depart for the summit. Arrive at the summit about 7am and discover why everyone talks about the view! Return to camp and continue on back down to the Base Camp

Day 07: Base Camp / Descend through Quebrada Llanganuco / Transfer to Huaraz Hotel Huaraz
We trek out to Llanganuco and then return to Huaraz.Time to relax after the climbing and celebrate.

Day 08: Free day in Huaraz, and Preparations for Alpamayo Climbing

Day 09: Huaraz / Transfer to Cashapampa / Trekking to Llamacorral Camp (3750mt) Camp
Drive to our trailhead in the village of Cashapampa (9,000 feet). This 3 hour drive takes us through beautiful farming communities as we head between the spines of the Cordillera Negra and the Cordillera Blanca. After organizing our burros, we hike with day packs to Llama Corral (3750mt), where we camp for the night.

Day 10: Llamacorral / Trekking to Alpamayo Base Camp (4200mt) Camp
A fairly short day, about 3 at 4 hours with day packs. Base camp is made at (4200mt) in a valley at the base of Alpamayo on the opposite side of the route. Base camp is scenic, with greenery, running water and outhouses.

Day 11: Alpamayo Base Camp / Ascend to Alpamayo Moraine Camp (4600mt) Camp
From base camp, the route takes a moraine ridge and crosses rock slabs across the edge of the glacier to reach an area of tent platforms (3 hours). This camping area is very limited and we may opt to climb all the way to Col camp in one day.

Day 12: Moraine Camp / Ascend to Alpamayo High Camp (5300mt) Camp
The route above moraine camp continues over ice and moraine before a 300-metre snow couloir leads to the Col between Alpamayo and nearby Quitaraju (6,040m). This section can sometimes be the most technical and difficult part of the route. After gaining the col, there is a short descent to reach high camp.

Day 13: High Camp / Ascend to Alpamayo Summit (5947mt) / High Camp (5300mt) Camp
Alpamayo Summit Day Depart from camp at 2:00am and head to the steep summit wall, which offers 360 meters of fun technical climbing to the summit. Camp in the high Camp

Day 14: High Camp / Descend to Alpamayo Base Camp (4200mt) Camp
We will descend today, to base camp (4 hours), Where our lunch awaits us and in the afternoon relaxes

Day 15: Reserve or rest day in Alpamayo Base Camp (4200m)

Day 16: Base Camp / Descent through Quebrada Santa Cruz / Cashapampa / Transfer to Huaraz Hotel Huaraz
We trek out to Cashapampa and then return to Huaraz.Time to relax after the climbing and celebrate.

Day 17: Lima: Trip to Lima and Arrive in the Afternoon and Transfer to Hotel Lima

Day 18: Lima-Airport: Shopping, and in the Afternoon Transfer to Airport
